Senior police officer arrested in Brest
The Committee for State Security (KGB) has arrested one of the top-ranking officers with the Brest regional police office.
According to an unofficial source, the colonel, who headed a department in the regional office's central apparatus, is suspected of involvement in illicit drug trafficking. The KGB and the Ministry of Internal Affairs have not made any official comment on the case.
